The Art of Performance is a rare talent which few possess. This pioneering course answers the need to produce performers who can compete on the classical music circuit and successfully develop a long-term career in their chosen art form. An ideal performer is one who can communicate the depth of his or her individual creativity at will, thus striking a chord in the heart of each individual in the audience. The process of nourishing and showcasing that creativity lies squarely in the hands of the Guru, who must be a time-tested exponent of the art.

The “Art of Performance” is the unique product of Guruji’s insight and experience which has accrued to him over his vast career of creating successful performers. It brings the individual out of the individual, and then polishes him or her for the whole world to perceive and appreciate.

Students will benefit from full focus on the practical aspects of Music Performance – stage – multimedia, recordings etc. – Special in house training, distance education, and will be supported by on-line services. The project is under the direct Guidance of the Musical legend and Guru of innumerable performing prodigies, Padmabhushan Dr.T.V.Gopalakrishnan and his premier disciple and foster daughter Ms.Devie Neithiyar .

This modular program is comprehensive enough to ensure basic knowledge of all areas pertinent to modern-day performance, but flexible enough to allow the candidates to opt for the modules which most spark their interest. Furthermore the varied manner of assessment encourages the candidate to push the boundaries of their personal passion in the art. By sculpting the thrust of the course around the core values of the individual, the spirit of genius is kindled, and God willing, generations of performers shall be born.

This course aims to create music teachers for today’s societal needs. This focuses on the intricacies of teaching and molding their own personality and makes them adept in the methodology of imparting the art forms to suit present day needs.

“No one learns as much about a subject as one who is forced to teach it.”

Great teachers help create great students. In fact, research shows that an inspiring and informed teacher is the most important factor influencing student achievement. So it is vital to pay close attention to how we train and support both new and experienced educators.

This course aims to create music teachers who can impart their chosen art to disciples. This focuses on the intricacies of teaching music and moulding their own personality so as to create the necessary rapport with their students.

Just as professionals in medicine, architecture, and law have opportunities to learn through examining case studies, learning best practices, and participating in internships, exemplary teacher-preparation programs should allow teacher candidates the time to apply their learning of theory in the context of teaching in a real classroom.

Teachers themselves may not have sufficient subject knowledge or appropriate skills because of poor quality, or lack of teacher training. This lack of qualification or subject knowledge presents teachers with difficulties in understanding and breaking down the curriculum for their students. It limits their confidence and consequently their teaching and the learning outcomes for children.

Dr. TVG has evolved an innovative system of training program for the music teachers taking into account all the above factors. It is one of the only available comprehensive Music Teacher Training programmes available today. TVGAIMA also works towards placements for those who are trained in this programme. The modules include apart from music, languages, relevant theory and communicational skills and personality development.

This aims at giving a music connoisseur the basic knowledge of the art form so that they discard their prejudiced attitude, and learn to equip themselves to appreciate arts so that they become a true rasika.

With special thrust on personality development, The Art of Healing Centre AIMA approaches healing as an art form, treating people from a holistic view involving Hatha Yoga, Reiki, Naada Yoga and Ayurveda. This course concentrates in the state of mind body coordination resulting in leading to happiness and peace in day to day life!

TVG AIMA’s “Prodigy Development” is a passionate initiative by Guruji Dr.T.V. Gopalkrishnan (Padma Bhushan Awardee) to create Performers at Global level out of aspiring talents and prodigies and thus pass on our hoary heritage for generations to come. The primary goal of the project is to identify passionate and talented individuals, especially from under privileged communities who may not typically consider a future in performing arts, and groom them into performing musicians of international standards.

Living in art foundation is formed as a unit of AIMA‘s social awareness campaign for music and musicians. The Living in Art Foundation offers veteran musicians, a stable and dignified life, providing them a basic security in the form of a health insurance in their vulnerable years. We shall endeavour to provide these great artists with part time employment as music teachers, so they can sustain a living whilst passing their hard-earned knowledge to the next generation.
