Souls of AIMA

AIMA wouldn’t be what it is without the incredible and loving contributions of our team.

The people who works with AIMA share the vision and values of our Guruji Dr.T.V.Gopalakrishnan.

DR. T.V. Gopalakrishnan

The Academy of Indian Music and Arts (AIMA), was founded in 1984 by the legendary musician Guruji Dr.T.V.Gopalakrishnan registered as a Charitable trust. Starting off with humble beginnings, it has enabled its students to grow, not just musically, but personally and holistically. The Academy provides a home away from home, shaping individuals ,transforming them from shy children, fearful of strangers, rough around the edges, to poised performers, exuding confidence to be themselves on the international arena.

Devie Neithiyar

Devie, the foster daughter and disciple of Dr.TVG and a musician par excellence who has been hailed as the Angel of Indian Music, has been deeply involved in AIMA’s activities since its inception. She is now passionately working on the day to day and long term developments and international collaborations of Academy of Indian music & Arts (AIMA) and Vidyaapeetam as its Director. A poet, visionary and above all a extremely sensitive humane person, Devie Neithiyar is waiting to be taken into the global arena of the Super Persons!
