Achaarya Nipuna
Many passionate artists hail from the lowest economic and social strata of society, lacking any such opportunities, and driven only by their passion for music. The Achaarya Nipuna program intends to work with sensitivity towards these groups, whose cultural aspirations and contributions remain unrecognized and under-represented.
The foundation aims to bring together people of all communities and create fresh cultural collaborations that transcend the barriers of language, race, religion and diverse cultural traditions.
The funds received for this project will be channelized towards these young men and women, who, despite great hardships and family commitments, have chosen to make a career in music and related arts.
Why Achaarya Nipuna
After countless hours of practice and many sacrifices, Indian artists struggle today to create a livelihood for themselves due to the following reasons.
-
Lack of Knowledge
Lack of knowledge of teaching methodologies to convert their skill to enable themselves to teach.
-
Lack of Soft Skills
Lack of soft skills to be able to connect with students and share their knowledge effectively.
-
Lack of Job Opportunities
Pressure from families to move to other mundane jobs since this seems like a tough uphill battle.
-
Inadequate Curriculum
The current college curriculum does not support the conversion of their knowledge to practical application.
